The department carries a lot of testing works regularly on consultancy basis for many private and government constructional organization to assess almost all the engineering properties of materials. It also offers extensive consultancy services in soil exploration, investigation, topographical survey, and design of concrete and steel structures including bridges, canals and public buildings, water and sewage analysis as per BIS standards. The students are allowed to accompany the consulting group
